Welcome to Behind-the-Scenes with Universal for Creators, the series where you can meet the expert team behind our world-class music catalog.
First up, we introduce you to Phoebe Munro - our Growth Marketing Coordinator working across our growth and subscription strategy for Universal Music for Creators.
- Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Universal Music for Creators
Hello, I'm Phoebe, and I am the Growth Marketing Coordinator here at Universal Music for Creators. My role involves supporting the overall subscription growth strategy for Universal Music for Creators and supporting multi-channel campaigns to ensure our subscribers have a seamless and enjoyable user experience. I’m originally from Brighton in the UK but I now live in London. I have a passion for the creative industry, and my hobbies include cooking, yoga, and attending live music events.
- What artist are you currently listening to on repeat?
Tems is always on repeat for me especially since her new album has come out.
- How would you describe your music taste?
I feel like everyone says this but it's so varied. But to give you my top 3 genres right now are Neo-Soul, UK Rap and Jazz.
- What’s your favourite social media platform and why?
Probably TikTok, I have seemed to have perfectly curated my algorithm to food and cats.
- What do you enjoy most about working at Universal Music for Creators?
My colleagues and the product. Before I started here, I had little insight into the thought processes involved in crafting music for videos. Everyone on the team is deeply passionate about the quality of our songs, which makes it rewarding to promote them. I have loved learning about these aspects alongside people who genuinely care about it.
- What do you think makes Universal Music for Creators unique?
The quality of our tracks and the thought behind them. Our tracks are crafted in some of the best studios in the world by highly talented artists and composers. So much thought is put into creating music that captivates audiences’ and boosts viewer engagement.
- What is your favourite product feature?
I really love our track variations and stem features. Our shortened song versions make it easy to use in short-form content, and our team selects the best parts of the songs for this purpose. Our track variations provide ease of use, while our stems and group stems offer more freedom and control. Having both these options helps when making different types of content.
- Finally, can you share your current top three tracks from the library?
